We host Information Sessions for parents/guardians on several weekdays during the admission season. Attendees will hear brief remarks from administrators and students, followed by a question-and-answer session. Please note these events are only for parents/guardians of students applying for admission in Fall 2025.

Register via the online system linked below using the same credentials used to access the admission application system. If you do not have a username and password, please complete the admission inquiry form. You will then receive a PIN code which allows you to create a username and password.

ON THE MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMPUS:

VIRTUAL:

• Virtual Admission Information Session for Grades 7-11 | December 19, 2024: 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. PT 

Event registration closes two business days before each event.

Although you must have completed an admission inquiry to register for an information session, it is not necessary to submit The Application for Admission (Step 1 of the online application) beforehand.

Admission Information Session Registration System

Tours of the middle school campus are only available to prospective families who have started the application process for Fall 2025. Students who interview in-person (and their parents/guardians) will tour the campus during their visit. Students who interview virtually (and their parents/guardians) will be invited to an optional after-school tour.

Unfortunately, due to the high number of requests, we cannot accommodate individual tour requests nor welcome prospective families to campus before they have started the application process.

Families can watch the Virtual Tour at the bottom of the page for an introduction to both our middle and upper school campuses.

We look forward to connecting with applicants and their families through admission interviews beginning in late September. Interviews are 40 minutes long, starting with a 20-minute one-on-one conversation with the applicant and a Harvard-Westlake community member, followed by a discussion with the parent(s)/guardian(s). No preparation is necessary, but please have the applicant complete the Student Questionnaire (Step 2 of the online application) at least two days before the interview.

Both in-person and virtual interviews are offered on weekdays during school hours. There is no advantage or disadvantage associated with either modality. Seventh and ninth grade applicants can choose their preferred interview method within the online application.

• In-person interviews occur on the Middle School campus and include a campus tour led by a student ambassador. In-person interviews are reserved for seventh and ninth grade applicants only. 
• Virtual interviews are conducted via Zoom. Seventh and ninth grade applicants with virtual interviews may schedule an optional afternoon tour of the Middle School campus.

Seventh and ninth grade applicants will be guaranteed an interview if their Application for Admission (Step 1 of the online application) is submitted by November 15.

Families are encouraged to accept the first interview invitation. We try to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee an interview if you decline the offer or reschedule.

Applicants for other grades may be invited to a virtual interview based on availability.

Virtual Parent Ambassador Chat | December 11, 2024: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. PT on Zoom

Parents/guardians of students applying for admission in Fall 2025 are invited to hear from a panel of Parent Ambassadors. The ambassadors will share their perspectives on being Harvard-Westlake parents and answer questions from attendees.
