Type of School

An Independent coeducational college preparatory day school, grades 7-12, Harvard-Westlake School is the result of a merger between Harvard School (for boys), founded in 1900, and Westlake School for Girls, established in 1904. Coeducation began in September of 1991.

In 2006, 572 Harvard-Westlake students took 1,871 A.P. tests in 32 different subjects,, and 91% scored 3 or higher.
