    This site provides the online flashcards of the 1000 most frequently used Chinese characters within ten levels. It can be used in the classroom, computer center, or student's home. Both traditional version and simplified version are included. The site also provide tools and links for Chinese study.
  • http://www.zhongwen.com Chinese characters and culture
    This site provides a hyperlinked dictionary of the frequently used Chinese characters. Students may study the characters with this site first from one level up to another, and go to <www.mandarintools.com> to test with flashcards. The page also provides information about Chinese culture and classics.

    This site provides an interesting on-line Chinese conversation course for younsters, from elementary level to advanced. Sound tracks are well set for lstening to the conversations. It also has a section of Speaking Chinese with 500 Characters (Wu bai zi shuo hua yu, http://edu.ocac.gov.tw/ocac99asp/ocac500/html/index.htm) and another section of Speaking Chinese with 1000 Characters (Yi qian zi shuo hua yu, http://edu.ocac.gov.tw/ocacasp/index.htm) that are both suitable for Chinese II to IV students as extracurricular study to enhance their communicative skills.
