The U.S. Men's Water Polo Team, which includes Peter Hudnut '99, brought home a silver medal in the gold medal match Sunday against Hungary.
This is the first silver medal for the U.S. men's team since the 1988 Olympics. This was Hungary's third time in a row to win the Olympic gold.

The last time the U.S. Men's Water Polo Team advanced to the gold medal game in the Olympics was 1988. On Friday night, the team, which includes defender Peter Hudnut '99, beat Serbia 10-5 and will now play for the gold medal on Sunday against Hungary.
If you're up for early morning TV watching, we hope you'll tune into the game and help cheer the team (Peter's cap has the number 3 on it).
Game time is 12:40 a.m. Pacific Time/ 3:40 a.m. Eastern Time on Sunday. Check the NBC Olympics website for information about channels airing the game or viewing the game online.

The U.S. Men's Water Polo Team, which includes alumnus Peter Hudnut '99, beat Germany 8-7 today, securing the team's spot in the semifinals.

Alumna Dara Torres '85 has won three silver medals at the Olympic games held in Beijing. This is her fifth Olympics, and the fifth Olympics in which she's medaled.
Torres' second medal was in the women's 50m freestyle. She was only one one-hundredth of a second behind the gold medalist, Britta Steffan of Germany.
Her first and third silver medals in Beijing were for the 4x100m free relay and 4x100m medley relay, respectively.
