After a 45-7 win over Bishop Montgomery in the first round of the CIF playoffs, the varsity football team has advanced to the next round of play.
Come cheer for your Wolverines this Friday, November 28 at 7:00 p.m., as we hit the road to take on Morro Bay High School, which is located in Morro Bay (north of San Luis Obispo).
General admission tickets are $8.00. Student/child tickets are $5.00. Tickets can be purchased on Friday night at the gate.

Alumni and their families gathered at Briarwood Park in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 9, for "A Day at the Park," an event sponsored by the Harvard-Westlake Alumni Association. Parents were able to visit with one another and enjoy refreshments while their children played on the playground nearby.

Speaking of Movies, a series conceived and hosted by Academy Award-nominated director Jason Reitman '95, held its inaugural event Wednesday, November 5.
Co-sponsored by the Harvard-Westlake Video Art Program, the Harvard-Westlake Film Festival, and the Harvard-Westlake Entertainment Network, Speaking of Movies featured Reitman, who received an Academy Award nomiation for Juno, in conversation with Diablo Cody, Academy Award-winning writer of Juno.

USA Track & Field announced on Tuesday that Head Cross-Country Coach and four-time Olympian Johnny Gray has been elected to the National Track & Field Hall of Fame.
Having set five American records, Gray is considered one of the greatest 800m runners in U.S. history. He qualified for four Olympic teams (1984, 1988, 1992 & 1996) and won the bronze medal at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.
Gray and the rest of the USATF Class of 2008 will be inducted Saturday evening, December 6, at the Jesse Owens Awards and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, held in conjunction with USATF's 2008 Annual Meeting in Reno, Nevada.
